i'm an ex-neuroscientist as well as ex-top management consultant, with a particular focus on consumer marketing. my fundamental interest always lies around human perception, how we feel and capture the world. i like photo and any beautiful words that captured some aspects of truth. i am currently living in tokyo working as a strategic planning guy for an IT/media company. i used to live in connecticut to do my ph.d. and postdoctoral work at yale. i am married, with a daughter. hope i can find some good resonance at tumblr.

よく挙げられる例ではあるが、アメリカ人に「アメリカ人の理想は？」と聞くと、「正直さ」とあげる人が多く、それには「桜の木を切ってしまったことを白状した、ジョージ・ワシントン」の物語が受け継がれているからだと言われている。どんなに「正直であれ」と言い続けるよりも、桜の木の物語を伝えたほうが人の心に残る、というわけだ。
